We envision a world where vaping is not only uncool, but is seen as an unsafe activity that can lead to poor health outcomes in the future.
Our Story
Five graduate students at Boston University (Isabella, Kervin, Sarah, Shannon, and Blair) noticed that teen vaping rates were on the rise and continued to climb. Concerned about the public health impacts of this trend, we recruited 10 Youth Leaders from the Boston, MA area to lead educational sessions, post on social media, and plan events for their peers to #EscapeTheVape.
What started as a group of 15 people motivated to Escape the Vape is now a national campaign with over 250 Youth Leaders in 12 Massachusetts counties. We continue to spread the word about the harmful effects of vaping and are always motivated by the passion and drive of our Youth Leaders.
